Our Story
Bright side
up.
We believe glasses aren't just for seeing clearly. They're the first thing people see you in.

Born on
the street.
SNAP started in [founding year] with a group of friends who skated and shot street photos. Frames on the market felt either too serious or too much like accessories. None made you want to switch them up every day, the way you do with sneakers.
So we brought sneaker-style color play to eyewear: clear acetate, neon shades, colors the sun can shine through. The name comes from the sound of a shutter, because a good frame should make you memorable the moment you're photographed.
What we believe
Sun-testedEvery frame is shot in real sun
A color that only looks good under studio lights doesn't count. We take every colorway outdoors and only sign off once it glows in real sunlight.
Street-proofSkated, ridden and run in
Five-barrel hinges, drop-proof materials and nose pads that stay put. Good looks, built to last a full day on the move.
Made to fitRedesigned for Asian faces
Raised nose pads and adjusted lens curves mean no pressing or slipping, even with a low bridge or high cheekbones.
From sketch to street.
- STEP 1
Sketch the shapes
We start from what we see on the street, sketch hundreds of outlines each season, then pick the boldest few.
- STEP 2
Mix the acetate colors
Color goes into the acetate itself, tuned for transparency so light passes through the frame.
- STEP 3
Shoot in the sun
Samples are photographed outdoors. If a color doesn't shine in daylight, it goes back for another round.
- STEP 4
Test on the street
Our team and friends wear them for two weeks of skating, commuting and training before anything goes on sale.
